About this role

Mercor is hiring **Castilian Spanish Voice Actors** to work directly with a leading AI lab, improving their model's ability to handle and produce audio data. **Professional experience in Voice Acting is greatly preferred but not required.** We welcome people with speaking and audio experience through Music, Television, Podcasts, Twitch Streaming, Comedy, YouTube, Radio, or other related fields. You must be a **native speaker of Castilian (European) Spanish**, born and raised in **Spain**. This role is distinct from our Mexican Spanish listing — please apply to the one matching your native variety. You also need to be a proficient English speaker to ensure proper communication during the project. **Project logistics** - **Participants are paid $250 USD per finished hour**, based on the length of submitted audio. - You'll need to commit between 2-10 hours per week. - Rolling start — onboarding begins once your contract is accepted and ID verification clears. - You will need to be available for a kickoff call. **Requirements** - Ability to speak in a "customer service" voice — neutral to upbeat tone, clear enunciation, consistent pacing. - Close attention to punctuation, commas and dashes. It is very important that you record transcripts exactly as written, or edit them to reflect natural pacing. - A **professional audio recording setup**: a home studio with a professional-grade microphone, soundproofing, an audio interface, a pop filter, and editing software for post-production. - Submissions must be WAV, 44.1 kHz, mono, with under one second of silence at the start and end, and no audible breathing.
