Private Equity Associate – Consumer & Leisure (France/Europe)

Mercor is hiring experienced **private equity associates** to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack, then peer-review models built by two other contractors on the same transaction. ### What you'll do - Build a working financial model of an assigned **consumer / leisure** transaction from a synthetic deal document pack - Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions - Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard ### Requirements - **2–4 years total experience**: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A — ideally Paris, London, or elsewhere in Europe) followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity - Currently or recently an **Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus** (fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, multi-site roll-ups); a Paris office or French deal experience is preferred - Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template - **English-speaking** ### Logistics - **Effort:** ~20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks
