About this role
Take part in natural bilingual conversations and help create high-quality speech data for language technology. You’ll record a spontaneous conversation with another adult participant, naturally switching between English and your native language. About this project This remote data collection opportunity focuses on capturing authentic bilingual speech through natural, unscripted conversations. You’ll participate in a conversation with another person and naturally alternate between English and your native language. The recordings should reflect real-life communication, including natural pacing, turn-taking, pronunciation, and engagement. The goal is to collect high-quality conversational audio together with accurate transcriptions that preserve language switching as it occurs. What you’ll do Participate in a natural conversation with another adult speaker. Speak in both English and your native language during the conversation. Switch naturally between the two languages within the conversation, including when appropriate within individual sentences or utterances. Keep the conversation spontaneous rather than reading from a script. Follow the recording guidelines to ensure clear, high-quality audio. Avoid sharing personally identifiable, sensitive, inappropriate, or confidential information. Complete approximately 3.5 hours of project activity. Requirements Must be 18 years old or older. Native-level proficiency in one of the eligible languages. English proficiency at B2 level or higher . Comfortable holding spontaneous conversations in both English and your native language. Access to a computer, microphone, and stable internet connection. Ability to follow recording and project instructions carefully. Ability to participate in a remote conversation with another speaker. No app download is required. Eligible languages We’re currently looking for native speakers of: Dutch Greek Hebrew Castilian Spanish Participants must also have at least B2-level proficiency in English.
