About this role
We are building groundbreaking systems to rigorously investigate the ability of AI models to support real-world life sciences workflows. This initiative sits at the frontier of AI evaluation, with the goal of shaping how next-generation models are trained and assessed for impact in biology. Role Overview - As a Biology PhD contractor, you’ll work closely with our team to design, draft, and review high-quality biology experiments and computational tasks that test the reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI systems. Your contributions will help define the benchmarks that leading AI labs and enterprises use to measure and fine-tune models for biology. This role is ideal for individuals who have: - Designed or evaluated complex experimental protocols - Engaged in high-level reasoning across biological systems - Built or used computational tools in support of scientific research You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside AI researchers, engineers, and scientists, shaping the future of AI in the life sciences. What You’ll Do - Design and validate complex, research-level experimental or computational biology tasks - Draft protocols or reasoning-heavy challenges that simulate real-world biology workflows - Work with experts to evaluate how AI models perform on high-stakes, complex biology problems - Contribute ideas for experimental formats, datasets, or grading rubrics that probe true model understanding What We’re Looking For - PhD (or ABD) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, Systems Biology, Computational Biology, or a related life science field - Strong track record of research involving significant experimental design or data analysis - Experience writing or evaluating computational methods or bioinformatics workflows is a plus - Excitement about AI’s impact on the scientific process, and curiosity about model behavior Compensation & Terms - $65 – $90 per hour depending on experience and task scope - Contract-
