Tax Preparer – AI Safety Benchmarking

Sepal AI is partnering with leading AI research labs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to ensure AI assistants behave safely inside financial software. We’re seeking experienced tax preparers and accountants with deep QuickBooks experience to help simulate real-world software use and uncover where AI can make dangerous mistakes. 🧠 What You'll Do - Simulate individual, trust, and estate tax preparation workflows inside QuickBooks / Netsuite / CCH ProSystem - Design realistic tasks (e.g., categorizing deductions, generating reports, applying depreciation). - Identify edge cases where AI outputs could lead to tax filing errors or compliance risks. - Collaborate on scoring rubrics to evaluate AI model safety and reliability inside accounting platforms. ✅ What You Bring - 3+ years of experience preparing tax returns using QuickBooks or similar tools. - Familiarity with individual, trust, and estate tax forms (1040, 1041, 706, 709). - Strong software intuition—able to simulate and describe workflows clearly. - Bonus: EA license or CPA preferred; familiarity with tax tools is a plus. 🛡 Why This Matters A poorly aligned AI model could mislead users, miscategorize expenses, or misfile a return.
