Opportunity Overview
Handshake is looking for pharmacists to support AI research through flexible, part-time contract work. This is not a traditional job. You’ll draw on your clinical training and hands-on experience in pharmacy practice, including medication therapy management, drug interactions, dosing, and patient counseling, to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI reason like a practicing pharmacist. The Handshake AI program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside your current role.
What You’ll Do
Use your pharmacy expertise to create expert-level tasks that today’s top AI models can’t solve, based on real clinical workflows such as medication review, drug interaction screening, dose verification, therapeutic selection, and patient counseling Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for clinical accuracy, patient safety, and alignment with current pharmacy practice and guidelines Provide clear, structured written feedback to help improve AI model performance Work remotely and complete tasks at your own pace, with no set schedule or minimum hour requirement Qualifications
Degree: Completed PharmD or equivalent doctoral pharmacy degree Licensure: Currently licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist Practice depth: Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Community or retail pharmacy Hospital or inpatient clinical pharmacy Ambulatory care or medication therapy management Pharmacology, toxicology, or drug information Specialty areas such as oncology, infectious disease, critical care, or pediatrics Additional qualifications (not required, but strengthen your application)

Handshake AI fellowship / opportunity network - and that relationship is rated "Confirmed" here because it can be checked against joinhandshake.com rather than taken on Handshake AI's word. Confidence describes how well the ownership is evidenced. It is not a rating of how the platform treats the people who work for it, which no public source covers reliably.
