Controller – AI Safety Benchmarking

Sepal AI is collaborating with top-tier AI labs to ensure that AI models behave safely inside complex ERP systems. We're hiring experienced Controllers or Finance Leads who’ve used NetSuite or QuickBooks extensively to help us simulate financial control workflows and define high-risk AI failure modes. 🧠 What You’ll Do - Simulate key controller-level tasks inside NetSuite or QuickBooks: monthly close, financial statement generation, managing intercompany entries, payroll reporting, and regulatory compliance. - Identify where AI assistants could introduce subtle but high-impact financial errors. - Author benchmark tasks that test an AI model’s ability to assist without violating financial integrity. - Collaborate with our research team to build reproducible tests and evaluate model performance. ✅ Ideal Background - 4+ years in finance or controller roles, with deep hands-on NetSuite or QuickBooks experience. - Strong understanding of GAAP, multi-entity consolidation, and audit workflows. - Detail-oriented mindset with a knack for spotting edge cases in complex systems. - Bonus: experience with ERP integrations, internal audits, or compliance work. 💸 $40 - 75/hr 🌍 Remote 📅 Part-time or project-based
