🧱 Job Description: Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Heavy) Sepal AI works with frontier AI labs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to ensure that large models behave safely and reliably when used in high-stakes environments. We’re hiring a Full-Stack Engineer (with a strong backend focus) to build simulation infrastructure and backend services that help us evaluate model behavior under realistic conditions. You’ll help us design and implement tools that recreate enterprise workflows (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP) and power evaluation pipelines behind the scenes. This is a highly technical, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in unstructured, fast-moving environments. Responsibilities - Build fullstack systems simulate real-world software workflows. - Work with researchers and operators to ensure infrastructure meets evolving needs. - Design and manage systems for data ingestion and evaluation of AI models. - Define and refine internal interfaces (API contracts, schema design, auth logic). - Contribute to system design decisions around modularity, observability, and scale. Requirements - 4+ years of experience as a software engineer (backend-heavy, full stack). - Proficiency in Python and TypeScript. - Experience building and maintaining APIs (tRPC, REST). - Strong working knowledge of Postgres or other relational databases. - Familiarity with Docker-based dev environments. - Bonus: Experience with building games, fullstack SaaS 💸 Pay: $65–100/hr | Potential for FTE role (depending on experience/location) 🌍 Remote | Flexible hours | Long-term potential
