TasteMakers is a curated network of designers, creative technologists, and AI-native makers working on projects with leading AI labs, tech companies, and brands. We're on a mission to end AI slop. We're looking for digital designers with exceptional visual taste in websites and interactive experiences. You design sites people remember: considered layouts, expressive typography, purposeful motion and interaction, and craft that holds up at every breakpoint. Bonus if you can also build and refine what you design, whether by hand or with AI coding tools. This is a general pool for web and interactive design experts. Qualified designers are matched to active, paid projects as they open. Remote and async, as an independent contractor. Commitment: 15-40 hours per week. What you'll do: Build and refine working sites using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar), troubleshooting and iterating until the output matches the design Judge and stack-rank websites and web apps on aesthetics, UI/UX, interaction, and technical execution, with brief, opinionated rationale Write prompts that generate web and interactive designs, then identify genuine visual errors (overlaps, misalignment, overflow, broken responsive behavior) versus personal preference Required skills: An exceptional visual portfolio of shipped websites or interactive work (live links strongly preferred) Expert command of layout, typography, hierarchy, spacing, and responsive design A strong eye for interaction and motion: you know when it adds to an experience and when it gets in the way Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; comfortable inspecting a page in browser dev tools Ability to articulate clearly and precisely what works or doesn't in a design, in plain language Strongly preferred: enough HTML/CSS/JS fluency to ship a site without a separate frontend developer, and experience building with AI coding tools Background at a digital agency, product house, or interactive studio is a strong plus

Coding / software engineering. Design/taste evaluation gig work (judging and critiquing website, web-app, and game designs) for AI training
Is TasteMakers a legitimate AI-training platform?
Direct AI-training/design-evaluation gig portal - and that relationship is rated "Confirmed" here because it can be checked against portal.tastelabs.com rather than taken on TasteMakers's word. Confidence describes how well the ownership is evidenced. It is not a rating of how the platform treats the people who work for it, which no public source covers reliably.
