TasteMakers is a curated network of designers, creative technologists, and AI-native makers working on projects with leading AI labs, tech companies, and brands. We're on a mission to end AI slop. We're looking for brand and communications designers who specialize in presentations and long-form visual communications: pitch decks, brand kits, corporate and consulting-style decks, annual reports, RFPs, and market reports. You know how to turn dense content into something clear, compelling, and on brand, and you can explain why a design works, not just make it look good. This role is staffing an active, paid project: we are creating 500+ unique brand identities, and designers in this role bring each one to life in presentations and decks, applying the brand system across polished, on-brand slides and documents. Strong designers will also be considered for future presentation and visual comms projects as they open. Remote and async, as an independent contractor. Commitment: 15-40 hours per week. What you'll do: Transform raw content, briefs, or existing slides into clear, compelling decks Design content-heavy documents (annual reports, RFPs, market reports) that make dense information digestible Create and refine charts, tables, infographics, and diagrams that communicate at a glance Work within brand guidelines while knowing when and how to push creatively Required skills: Advanced proficiency designing natively in Microsoft PowerPoint (Google Slides, Keynote, or Canva alone do not substitute); Figma fluency a plus A portfolio showing exceptional craft across presentations, brand, editorial, or document design Strong command of layout, grid systems, typography, hierarchy, spacing, and composition Ability to translate complex information, data, and frameworks into clear visual communication Experience giving structured, specific design feedback or creative direction Experience developing or interpreting creative briefs, and the ability to articulate the reasoning behind
